The next annual EFI conference will be held in Maastricht, the Netherlands from 11th to 14th May 2013. One of the highlights of any EFI Conference is the presentation of the Julia Bodmer Young Scientist Award. This award is given to a young scientist in recognition of his or her outstanding work in the field of immunogenetics. It goes without saying that the award also represents a recognition of the laboratory in which the award winner has performed his or her work.  Any EFI member can propose candidates for this award, preferably supported by a letter from the head of the laboratory where the candidate is working. The candidate needs to be an EFI member and under 35 years of age.

The winner will deliver the Julia Bodmer Young Scientist Award lecture at the Opening session of the EFI Conference in Maastricht. Further, he or she will receive 1000 euro to cover travel and hotel expenses and free registration at the conference as well.

Proposals must be sent to Ingrid Abelman at the EFI Central Office by e-mail (i.l.abelman(at)lumc.nl) before March 11, 2013. Proposals should be accompanied by the candidate’s CV, as well as by a list of publications
